Job duties as a Loss Prevention Guard: Monitor closed-circuit television to ensure the protection of facilities and company property. Identify, monitor, and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise or those committing fraud (actively participating in floor walking duties), while blending into environments and carrying out duties discreetly. Input detailed and accurate incident reports documenting apprehensions. Escort trespassers away from client premises. Defuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary. Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed. Document theft and other security violations Job Qualifications: A Valid Security License is required. Valid First Aid/CPR certification. Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters Knowledge of all 5 steps to an arrest/detainment of a shoplifter Must be proficient in the English language, spoken, written, and via electronics. Ability to reliably commute to various locations during shifts as required. Open availability of 7 days a week Superior observational skills Knowledgeable on safety processes and procedures Previous experience in security is an asset.
